Abstract

The present study intents to analyze how the Project-Based Learning (PBL) pedagogical tool can be used in the teaching of Human Rights in universities in order to improve legal education to make it more critical to social problems. In response to the problem presented, it appears that this pedagogical tool, which constitutes the so-called active teaching methodologies, proposes the student a greater involvement and protagonism in their teaching, which is established by identification problems, research and proposing solutions and projects cooperatively. The chosen methodology in this research is of a qualitative nature, being performed through the literature review about the main concepts identified. The study is divided into two topics: the first one studies the pedagogical tool of the PBL, its characteristics and the form of its application. Then, it observes the critical teaching of law in universities, and how the way the PBL can be absorbed by human rights.
