Abstract

This article proposes a study of subjectivity and of the various forms of socialization present intwo poetical works by Diego Maquieira: La tirana y Los sea harrier. In La tirana the subjects are clearly marginalized and the social relationships are defi ned by violent collectivities or institutions: mafi as and the Inquisition (this characteristics are portrayed as a political allegory of the Chilean dictatorship). In Los sea harrier, on the other hand, there are more articulate subjects and the social relations are also more formalized in armies which are fighting each other. Political allegory is also present in this book, but it deals now with the Chilean political transition.
