Call to publish scientific articles that will be received between June 20 and November 20, 2019, referring to:

University Pedagogy: With topics such as public policies in higher education, legislative system and reforms, academic programs, comparative policies, massification processes, quality assurance, legal professions, and others in higher education as a general field, referring to the Chilean and international context .

Didactics of Law: With topics whose centrality is related to processes of innovation, learning, curriculum, innovations, teaching experiences, students and teachers characterization , among others in legal education in the Chilean and international context.

Ethical and citation standards (Chicago-deusto) must be taken care of, in addition to the originality of the research or innovation.

Publication Policies

Peer Review Process

Overview

The evaluation process will be managed and implemented by the directors of the journal and the editorial team, who will keep a record of the evaluation forms used by peer reviewers. The journal it is responsible for carrying out the process in a manner which provides anonymity of the evaluators from the authors and the author from the evaluators.

Every article submitted to the journal that meets the formal requirements will be subjected to a double-blind peer review. The journal will send the article to two experts. The reviewers will be members of the advisory editorial board or other experts depending on the topic covered on the article.

The double-blind peer review will assess the following aspects:

1. methodological precision and academic rigor, implying that the article develops arguments coherently and shows an adequate level of complexity; as well as a correct articulation between research questions, body of the article and conclusions;

2. Formal structure of the article, meaning that the article shows coherence from the point of view of linguistic quality (structure, writing, syntax, spelling and style); and meets the editorial standards of the journal (adapted Chicado-Deusto).

3. Academic value, implying that the article is original and contributes to the development of the discipline; in addition the bibliography must be relevant and updated.

Stages of the evaluation process:

Once the article is received on the journal's platform and/or by email (rpedagogia@derecho.uchile.cl), the author will receive an email informing if the article is accepted for evaluation, within the ten following working days. In order to start the evaluation process articles must comply with formal requirements and appropriate thematic content outlined in the "Author Guidelines" section. If accepted, the editorial team will check citations and will adjust the article to the editorial format of the magazine.

Every reviewer will have a maximum of five weeks to evaluate the article. Reviewers will submit a report on the quality of the article using an evaluation form that will be provided. The possible outcomes of the evaluation are: to publish without any modification, publish with corrections or rejection.

Once the reviewers submit their evaluation to the journal, the outcome will be checked by the director and editorial team, and then the decision will be communicated to the author by e-mail.

The directors of the magazine reserve the right to refuse publication of any item received, without further explanation.

After sending the e-mail notifying acceptance of the article, the authors will have a week to do corrections. In the absence of a response by the author, it is deemed to have accepted the suggested changes to the article. The editorial team may decide not to publish the article in the state in which the article is, including suggested changes, or may decide to publish it.

Authors will be notified of all decisions by e-mail.

The editorial team will format and publish the article no later than two weeks after the decision of publishing the article is made.

Anonymity of the evaluation process

The directors of the journal and the editorial team are responsible for ensuring the anonymity of the whole evaluation process. The names and e-mail addresses provided to the journal will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be available to any person or for any other purpose.

Revista de Pedagogía Universitaria y Didáctica del Derecho is a free journal and its contents are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0, which allows a wide use of the material, with exception of commercial purposes. The journal works in accordance with the criteria of Budapest Declaration in favor of open access. Authors who publish in this journal agree to the following conditions: Authors retain the copyright of their work and give right of first publication to the journal. Authors agree with publication of their work in the journal under Creative Commons Attribution License that allows third parties to use the published material always addressing the source and authorship. The authors are free to make other contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the article published in the journal (for example: it can be included in an institutional collection or being published in a book), provided that clearly indicate the original publication of the work in this journal. Publisher copyright policies & self-archiving policies of this journal are registered in SHERPA/ROMEO for public knowledge. The authors explicitly authorize the Unidad de Pedagogía Universitaria y Didáctica del Derecho and Universidad de Chile's Law School to publish, edit and distribute their work in its original language in print, by digital or electronic media. The authors also authorize reproduction, adaptation and edition by any means or procedures including non-alphanumeric writing, including Braille writing system, audio recording, video or others. This authorization is non-exclusive, free, unlimited, perpetual, and cannot be cancelled.

Archiving

Revista Pedagogía Universitaria y Didáctica del Derecho (RPUDD) is part of LOCKSS which provides open source digital preservation tools in order to create a storage system where journals are preserved with the aims of provide access, restoring and preserving digital content.
