Abstract

This paper is a reply to the article by Sergio Villalobos entitled “Bolivia y el mar” that appeared in Cuadernos de Historia Nº 28. It deals with the colonial boundaries between the Charcas Audience and Chile, from legal, historical, and documentary viewpoints.
