Abstract

The purpose of this work is to make an approximation to the Jewish communities of Nancy after the German occupation during World War II through a very interesting questionnaire found in the archives of the Center for Contemporary Jewish Documentation in Paris, which has allowed us to reconstruct the history of the Jews of Nancy, I focus mainly on the evolution of the Jewish population, the number of arrested and deported Jews, and the damage caused to religious buildings, among other things, which has been quite an event in bringing to light very valuable unpublished information, given the lack of studies on the Jews of Nancy, not even in relation to the Jews of France in general.
